What is Duel

Duel is a launchpad on Robinhood Chain where every launch is a perpetual duel: two opposing tokens, side A and side B. Traders choose a side by buying it. Four-hour rounds compare their ETH prices over time, and a duel has no last round. A winning side can be bought back from its ETH pool and burned by the pot, within a price ceiling; quiet rounds and near ties have no winner.

Duel is built by the team behind DIVINE, whose Screener has sent free signals since 2024, now on Solana and Robinhood Chain, and has always run two strategies side by side. Duel puts that face-off on-chain, for everyone.

A duel in one minute

  1. Launch two sides. One transaction deploys two tokens of one billion units each, opens three Uniswap V4 pools and locks their liquidity. Both sides start at the same price.
  2. Pick a side. Buy, sell or switch in one transaction, subject to liquidity and your transaction limits.
  3. Follow the prices. The split compares A’s and B’s prices in ETH. A/B switches affect it only when realignment changes an ETH price.
  4. Close a round. Scheduled closes are at midnight, 4 AM, 8 AM, noon, 4 PM and 8 PM UTC. The time-weighted log price ratio decides active rounds; near ties have no winner. The pot can buy the winner back and burn it within a price ceiling. The first round lasts four to eight hours.
  5. Collect creator fees. By default, a third of the fees on ETH trades goes to the launching wallet. Direct A/B token fees are burned.

What a duel can be about

Anything with two sides:

FormatExampleSides
RivalryCats vs Dogs, Salmon vs Tuna, India vs PakistanTwo names against each other: animals, dishes, players, countries
CelebrityPro Elon vs Anti ElonOne name, the side that backs it and the side that doesn't. Also Fans / Haters, Long / Short
Bull / BearBull ETH vs Bear ETHBulls against bears on an asset or a narrative
Yes / NoIs the bottom in? Yes vs NoTwo meme answers compared by their ETH token prices; the round does not verify the answer

Celebrity duels are memes: they are not affiliated with the people they name.

Categories

Each duel names its category at launch, and its page shows it: Politics, Sports, Gaming, Food & drinks, Animals, Crypto, Markets, Celebrities, Countries, Music, Movies & TV, Tech, Religion & myths, Lifestyle, Questions, Memes, or Other for a duel that fits none. The contracts keep it as a number, so that the list can grow: a new category takes the next number, and a number never changes its meaning.

Official duels

Some matchups have an official duel: the one DIVINE launched from its official wallet, tagged Official wherever it shows on the site. Once a matchup has one, the site lists only that duel:

  • a duel with the same two sides, by name or ticker, in either order, even with a word added ("Team Cats"), is a copy: the board, the search, the leaderboard and the Telegram alerts leave it out;
  • a copy still trades like any duel, and its page, opened from its link, points to the official duel;
  • the launch form does not launch a copy: it leads to the official duel instead.

An official duel runs on the same contracts and rules as every other: the tag tells who launched it, nothing more.

What makes it different

  • Two tokens, one contest. The split compares their ETH prices; the round measures that price lead over time.
  • Regular rounds. Scheduled closes make results visible throughout the day, including rounds without a winner.
  • Buybacks for winners. The pot collects ETH trade fees, the anti-snipe tax and captured realignment profit. Its buyback has a price ceiling, so unspent ETH carries over.
  • Rules in contracts. Tokens have no owner or mint function, and liquidity cannot be withdrawn. Smart-contract and market risks still exist. See Security.
