Launch a duel

Launching takes one transaction: two tokens, their three pools, the locked liquidity and your optional launch buys go live together. Open Launch in the app, fill the form and confirm in your wallet.

The form

Format. Rivalry (two names), Celebrity (one name, two sides: Pro / Anti, Fans / Haters, Long / Short), Bull / Bear or Yes / No. For the last three, type the subject once and both sides are filled in; you can still edit every field.

Category. What the duel is about, from the list of categories, or Other when none fits. It is kept with the duel, on-chain, and shown on its page.

Each side.

FieldRules
Name1 to 32 characters
Ticker1 to 10 characters (A–Z or 0–9), typed in capitals; the two tickers must differ
ImageOptional: a picture your browser can open, 64 pixels a side at least (see below)
Launch buyOptional ETH, see below

Details. A description (280 characters at most) and links: a website (https://), an X account (x.com or twitter.com) and a Telegram group (t.me). They are stored with the tokens and shown on the duel's page.

Images. Drop a picture on a side's image field, or choose one: JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF, SVG, or any other your browser can open. Your browser turns it the way it is meant to be seen and fits it within 1024 pixels; the site then checks it, encodes it again as WebP and keeps it on IPFS. A GIF keeps its first frame. Nothing of your file is kept but its pixels: its metadata (the camera, the date, a phone's GPS position) is dropped. A picture no duel names is removed after a day: if you launch later than that, the form sends it again.

Supporter duel. Send your creator share of ETH trade fees to the round pots. This is permanent; buybacks still follow their price ceiling.

Official duels. When DIVINE already runs an official duel with the same two sides, the form says so and leads to it: a copy would not be listed on the site.

Launch buys

A launch buy is ETH you spend on a side inside the launch transaction, before anyone else can trade:

  • it pays the 1.2% fee but no anti-snipe tax;
  • it is capped at 5% of the side's supply (50 million tokens, about 0.09 ETH per side at the launch price, fee included);
  • you can buy one side, both, or neither.

Launch buys are optional. Choosing none means the creator receives no token allocation at launch. The displayed launch fee and buy estimates use the current factory terms; the table below shows the defaults. Your launch commits to the terms shown: if new terms apply before it is mined, the factory refuses it and the form shows the new ones.

What it costs

Launch fee0.01 ETH, to the treasury
Launch buysWhat you choose, up to the cap
Network feeRobinhood Chain gas for the transaction

The summary under the form adds it all up and checks your balance. Any ETH sent beyond the total is refunded in the same transaction.

After the launch

The duel's page opens with its share window at hand: an image of the duel for X and Telegram, and a live overlay for streams (see Share and stream). The first round runs until the first round boundary that leaves at least four hours of trading, then every round lasts four hours (see Rounds).
